Introduction to CV of Professor Jehoshua Dor M.D.

Prof. Jehoshua Dor is the director of the Center of Reproductive Medicine and infertility, At the Sheba Medical Center, Tel-Aviv, Israel.
He is Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Sacker School of Medicine at the Tel Aviv University.

In 2007 He was nominated as the incumbent of the Transbi-Tranovski chair of fertility research and treatment, Tel Aviv University.
He graduated in Tel Aviv University and specialized in OB/GYN in the department of Obstetric and Gynecology at the Sheba medical Center in Tel Aviv.

He specialized in the field of infertility working with Prof B. Lunenfeld and did his basic training in the biology of reproduction and in-vitro fertilization in the MRC unit of Reproductive Biology in Edinburgh Great Britain during 1979to1980.
In 1981 delivered the first IVF baby in Israel. From 1999 to 2001 he was acting as the Elected Chairman of the Israel Fertility Association.

Prof. Dor delivered the fist baby following transplantation of cryopreseved ovarian tissue back to the ovary in 2005. This achievement was reported in the NEJM.
In 2008 he delivered the first babies (twins) in Israel following treatment of IVM (in-vitro maturation)
Prof. Dor authored over 130 original scientific papers and is well recognized for his contribution to the field of reproductive endocrinology and assisted reproductive technologies.
